Project Supports from TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1001 Earthquake Studies Call

Our distinct pleasure is to announce that four projects coordinated by KHAS faculty members have been funded under TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1001 – Earthquake Studies Call.

Our academics and the projects are:

  • Prof. Dr. Lerna Yanık, the Department of Political Science and Public Administration: “Earthquakes and Women: Determining the Factors for a Social Vulnerability Sensitive Earthquake Disaster Planning for İstanbul- Diagnosis, Analysis, and Solutions”  
  • Assoc. Prof. Onurcan Yılmaz, the Department of Psychology: “How to Increase Social Cooperation against the Threat of Earthquakes?”
  • Asst. Prof. Burak Çavdaroğlu, the Department of Industrial Engineering: “Optimization of Post-Earthquake Road Network Debris Clearance Activities with Dynamic Covering Trees”
  • Asst. Prof. Salih Tileylioğlu, the Department of Civil Engineering: “Deep Learning and Machine Learning-Based Dynamic Soil and Earthquake Parameter Estimation Using Strong Ground Motion Station Records”
